Priority Software today announded that Arkia Israel Airlines chose Priority's ERP system

Nikol Lev, CIO of Arkia: "We decided to go with Priority after looking into several options, because it best meets the company's needs in terms of efficient implementation and low costs of future maintenance

We estimate future savings of 3%-4% in procurement costs due to the new system

Arkia airlines and tourism company has chosen Priority as their new ERP system. In the initial stage, the financial and purchasing modules will be implemented followed by modules for sales and aircraft maintenance. The system will be installed on all stations and will be used by hundreds of users.

According to Nikol Lev, CIO of Arkia, "We chose Priority over other competitors because it was most compatible with the needs of our organization, because of the system's advanced capabilities and because of the price. We were looking for an innovative, fully integrated tool that would do everything: enable control, transparency and organized financial processes within the company and with external vendors, as well as provide online data from the BI system. The fact that the system is web-based and designed with advanced technologies was also a definite advantage".

Lev predicts that the new system will improve purchase planning and expenses and will already lead to a 3%-4% reduction in purchase costs during the first stage of the project.

Lev was used to working with ERP systems of other large vendors and so Priority was not initially her first choice. However, after examining all relevant aspects of the system, she found that Priority held many advantages in terms of flexibility and compatibility with Arkia's unique needs. In regard to efficiency and system maintenance, only minimal manpower is required for maintenance which means that Arkia's ERP costs are expected to be low.

Among the modules Arkia plans to implement are digital signatures, real-time budget control, digital purchasing, credit management, wholesale customer sales, interfacing with the company's BI system, electronic interfaces etc.

According to Andres Richter, CEO of Priority Software, "We're really happy about Arkia's choice and we're proud to welcome them as a new customer. Arkia has worked with us in the past via subsidiaries such as the Port of Eilat, and various hotels. Arkia's professional team led by Nikol Lev did an in-depth comparison before choosing Priority over other contenders. Priority continues to prove that ERP really can be easier.
