From raw materials, inventory management and quality control to shipping and last-mile delivery, efficiently managing the supply chain process is critical for manufacturing companies. Digitalization in general, and ERP in particular, are important tools in this regard.

Among the key findings:

  multitier bills of materials (BOMs). Supply chains adopting digital solutions, such as
  ERP software, without a foundational effort of data management and process
  realignment are set for failure.”
• “The decentralized structure common to industrial organization makes executing a
  centrally led digital transformation challenging, as the rollout must meet local needs
  and overcome local resistance.”
