Competition & Comparison

How does Priority ERP compare to Microsoft Dynamics 365?

Microsoft Dynamics 365 requires heavy customization for industry needs and does not offer a smooth migration from Business Central. It is not built for highly regulated industries. Priority ERP is user-friendly, flexible, and customizable without IT support, and ensures compliance with FDA, GDPR, SOX, ISO9000, ISO27001, and SOC 2 Type 2. Note: Dynamics 365 may be preferred for organizations already standardized on Microsoft platforms. Source

How does Priority ERP compare to SAP Business One?

SAP Business One is complex, expensive, and lacks multi-company capabilities. Its Version 10 will reach end-of-support in 2026. Priority ERP is affordable, easy to use, and supports true multi-company operations with automatic inter-company processes. Note: SAP Business One may be suitable for organizations with existing SAP infrastructure. Source

How does Priority ERP compare to NetSuite?

NetSuite is a strong cloud ERP but is expensive and enforces contract lock-in. Gartner notes costs are high for SMBs. Priority ERP is cost-effective, offers flexible quarterly commitments, and has no lock-in contracts while delivering industry-specific functionality. Note: NetSuite may be preferred for organizations seeking deep Oracle ecosystem integration. Source

How does Priority ERP compare to Odoo?

Odoo is open-source but has scalability limits, performance issues, long learning curves, and high implementation failure rates due to a weak partner ecosystem. Priority ERP provides structured implementation, scalability, proven methodologies, experienced partners, and quick user adoption. Note: Odoo may be preferred for organizations seeking open-source flexibility. Source

Industry Recognition & Trust

Has Priority Software received industry recognition?

Yes. Priority Software has been recognized by Gartner in the 2025 Magic Quadrant for Cloud ERP for Product-Centric Enterprises, as a Major Player in the 2025 IDC MarketScape for AI-Enabled ERP, and as the top ERP Solution in the 2025 TEC Insight Report for SMBs. Note: Recognition does not guarantee fit for all business types; evaluate based on your requirements. Source

Key questions answered to guide your ERP decision

Where can I learn more about companies that have switched to Priority from another ERP system?

Many companies have made the switch and shared their experience:

Does Priority have advanced AI capabilities?

Yes. aiERP, Priority's built-in AI, lets your team ask questions and get things done in plain, everyday language instead of digging through menus and reports. It also includes specialized AI agents that independently handle routine tasks across sales, purchasing, finance, and manufacturing, always with a person able to review and stay in control. For manufacturing and distribution teams specifically, that means faster demand planning and smarter day-to-day decisions, without needing a data science team to get there.

What features set Priority apart from Syspro?

Priority is designed to scale with your business and eliminate friction at every step:

  • Flexibility and openness: configurable workflows, business rules, and no-code customization mean the system adapts to your business as it grows, not the other way around.
  • aiERP: a natural-language AI companion plus task-specific agents that handle routine work across finance, sales, manufacturing, and supply chain – always with a person in control.
  • Robust, all-in-one functionality: financials, CRM, supply chain, manufacturing, and distribution, all on one centralized platform.
  • Manufacturing depth: real-time visibility into production performance, with automated processes that keep engineering and the shop floor in sync.
  • Native Warehouse Management: a scalable, AI-based Warehouse Management System built directly into the platform for real-time inventory visibility and optimized workflows.

What's the process for switching from Syspro to Priority?

Moving to Priority starts with an analysis phase, where our team learns your business needs and builds a Statement of Work to guide the project. From there, we configure the system around your processes, map your existing configurations and historical data for migration, and train your team hands-on with a train-the-trainer approach and a sandbox system to practice in. Before go-live, we validate everything through testing and rehearsals, then support you closely through the transition itself. For a full migration of an established system, the whole process typically runs 3 to 6 months.

How deep is Priority's manufacturing functionality?

Manufacturing isn't a separate layer added on top of Priority; it's built into the core of the product.

Multi-level bills of materials, engineering change orders and revision control, MRP-driven scheduling, and quality assurance with material review board tracking and certificates of analysis are all native to the same platform that runs finance, CRM and the rest of the business.

Production supports make-to-order, configure-to-order, and engineer-to-order models, with cost and margin roll-up to the order level. A production issue, a quality hold, or a BOM change shows up immediately in planning, purchasing, and finance.
