Competition & Comparison

How does Priority ERP compare to Microsoft Dynamics 365?

Microsoft Dynamics 365 requires heavy customization for industry needs and does not offer a smooth migration from Business Central. It is not built for highly regulated industries. Priority ERP is user-friendly, flexible, and customizable without IT support, and ensures compliance with FDA, GDPR, SOX, ISO9000, ISO27001, and SOC 2 Type 2. Note: Dynamics 365 may be preferred for organizations already standardized on Microsoft platforms. Source

How does Priority ERP compare to SAP Business One?

SAP Business One is complex, expensive, and lacks multi-company capabilities. Its Version 10 will reach end-of-support in 2026. Priority ERP is affordable, easy to use, and supports true multi-company operations with automatic inter-company processes. Note: SAP Business One may be suitable for organizations with existing SAP infrastructure. Source

How does Priority ERP compare to NetSuite?

NetSuite is a strong cloud ERP but is expensive and enforces contract lock-in. Gartner notes costs are high for SMBs. Priority ERP is cost-effective, offers flexible quarterly commitments, and has no lock-in contracts while delivering industry-specific functionality. Note: NetSuite may be preferred for organizations seeking deep Oracle ecosystem integration. Source

How does Priority ERP compare to Odoo?

Odoo is open-source but has scalability limits, performance issues, long learning curves, and high implementation failure rates due to a weak partner ecosystem. Priority ERP provides structured implementation, scalability, proven methodologies, experienced partners, and quick user adoption. Note: Odoo may be preferred for organizations seeking open-source flexibility. Source

Industry Recognition & Trust

Has Priority Software received industry recognition?

Yes. Priority Software has been recognized by Gartner in the 2025 Magic Quadrant for Cloud ERP for Product-Centric Enterprises, as a Major Player in the 2025 IDC MarketScape for AI-Enabled ERP, and as the top ERP Solution in the 2025 TEC Insight Report for SMBs. Core Backend Quality Engineer

We are an AI-first company building enterprise-grade backend systems used by thousands of organizations worldwide.

Our Core Team is responsible for the stability, correctness, and reliability of the platform's most critical backend services – the systems that power everything under the hood.

We're looking for a Core Backend Quality Engineer who thinks like an engineer, debugs like a developer, and tests like a system architect. This is not a UI testing role. This is deep backend quality engineering across complex, multi-service environments – where logs, APIs, architecture diagrams, and AI-assisted tooling are your daily toolkit.

If you thrive on understanding how systems behave, pinpointing root causes, and using AI to accelerate everything you do – you'll feel right at home.

As a Core Backend Quality Engineer, you will ensure the quality of our backend platform by analyzing system behavior, debugging across multiple services, and validating complex flows that run behind the scenes. You will work closely with developers, DevOps, IT, and SaaSOps to ensure our core systems remain stable, predictable, and production-ready.

This is a technical individual contributor role with high ownership, high complexity, and high expectations.

Responsibilities:

Backend Quality & System Debugging:

  • Reproduce, analyze, and investigate backend issues reported by support and internal teams.
  • Debug across multiple microservices using logs, traces, and architecture flows.
  • Identify root causes quickly – from API behavior to data inconsistencies to service interactions.
  • Validate defect fixes and ensure no regressions or side effects across the system.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, IT, and SaaSOps when issues involve infrastructure, permissions, or environment behavior.

AI-Driven Testing & Analysis:

  • Use AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Cline, Claude Code) daily to accelerate test creation, debugging, and analysis.
  • Generate automated tests using AI – API tests, integration tests, regression suites.
  • Use AI to analyze logs, detect patterns, and propose root-cause hypotheses.
  • Use AI to improve documentation, test planning, and coverage analysis.

Automation & Backend Testing:

  • Write automated tests regularly using JavaScript/TypeScript (Jest, Cucumber.js).
  • Test REST, gRPC, and other backend APIs.
  • Validate multi-service flows and backend interactions.
  • Improve test reliability, coverage, and maintainability.
  • Work with BrowserStack (advantage) for test management.

Engineering-Level Quality Work:

  • Understand backend architecture diagrams, service boundaries, and data flows.
  • Analyze SQL data for validation, debugging, and test setup.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) as part of daily workflow.
  • Improve internal testing tools and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Report test progress, results, and issues clearly and effectively.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years in technical roles (backend QA, automation, support engineering, systems analysis).
  • Strong analytical skills – from architecture to implementation.
  • Experience testing backend APIs (REST, gRPC, Postman, gRPCurl, JMeter).
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript test tools (Jest, Cucumber.js).
  • AI-first mindset – daily use of AI tools for testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Ability to read, understand, and analyze backend logs.
  • SQL proficiency for debugging and data validation.
  • Strong communication skills – able to collaborate with DevOps/IT/SaaSOps when needed.
  • Fluent English.
  • Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions) – Big Advantages
  • Experience with log/monitoring tools (Datadog) – Big Advantages
  • Experience debugging enterprise-grade backend systems- Big Advantages
  • Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript) – Big Advantages
  • Experience with multi-service or microservices architectures – Big Advantages
