Burleson Plumbing & Heating is a family-owned business in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, serving the community since 1948. It combines a retail operation with electrical, plumbing and HVAC services, and serves roughly 40,000 customers across three counties.
Burleson used to run two separate software systems, and the team was stuck with desktop software with no way to log in remotely.
The business faced a few other challenges as well:
Burleson wanted one platform that could keep up with where technology is heading. For Adam Burleson, CEO and Co-Owner of Burleson Plumbing & Heating, the problem was clear: “Before Priority, we had two different software systems, and it was really a headache. The biggest thing we wanted in Priority was one software that could handle all aspects of our business in one place.”
With Priority, Burleson did more than consolidate everything onto one system. It also moved to an AI-forward way of working, with aiERP, Priority's built-in AI. Anyone on the team can ask a question in plain language and get an answer from the company's own data, with no report to build or run.
The advantages of moving to Priority were clear:
Access from anywhere: the team can log in from home or a coffee shop
“One really big thing I like is the AI feature in Priority. You push one button, you ask a question, and it [the AI] is built for Priority.”
Adam Burleson, CEO / Co-Owner, Burleson Plumbing & Heating
From running reports to asking questions
With aiERP, getting every business answer is achieved by asking a question rather than building a report. Dillon Walton, Sales Counter Operations Manager, explains: “I can literally tell it, 'Give me the sales from last week. What were the transaction counts?' and I was able to pull up all that information, bam, right there, where I didn't have to run a report.”
Easy access to data is also helping the team make better decisions faster and in a more data-driven way. Dorian Burleson, Customer Service Representative, says: “I'd say it makes my job at least 30% more efficient and quicker.”
Speed across the business
Speed gains show up across the business. Mobile barcode scanning replaced product lookups, and Dillon estimates customers are now checked out “a good 80% faster.” The service department is 10-15% faster at getting a customer set up, and processing hundreds of inventory items takes 10-15 minutes, instead of months:
“It literally could take months to change 500 items of inventory. And in the first month of using Priority, learning how to import/export, use your forms the right way, I was able to edit literally about 300 items in probably 10, 15 minutes.”

For Burleson, AI is how the business stays competitive. With Priority, and its AI-native aiERP, the team optimizes its business processes, from getting answers from its own data in a single question to checking customers out and updating inventory faster.
“We're in a technologically advanced society, and if you don't have any capabilities in that way, you're just getting left behind. Priority is helping us grow by allowing us to stay with the times.”
